My story
08/26/19 11:22 Polar was returned after being adopted because he was aggressive with the dog in the household as well as other dogs in the neighborhood, even though the other dog in the household was non-confrontational and would attempt to avoid Polar. The owner said he was very people-friendly even when he had to break up dog fights that Polar had started. Since Polar has conflicting dog-history we are requiring mutual visits with any other dogs in the home.08/20/19 Polar came to the shelter as a transfer from another rescue in the hopes that he would get more publicity to be adopted here. He has spent most of his time outside on a sled dog house and here at the shelter he lives on an outdoor sled dog house. He has been around dogs before and is said to be excellent with them. He has also been around children and does good with them. He is a very outgoing, energetic and pleasant dog who needs an active family. He is a sled dog so he will require lots of daily exercise and mental stimulation to be able to remain happy. He is mushing/skijor trained and rides well in a vehicle.
