Pointer - Trigger (courtesy Posting) - Medium - Adult - Male

　　Trigger is a happy and kind 6 year old Pointer/ Cattle Dog mix whose life changed dramatically three weeks ago when his owner, a widower and former WWII combat veteran, passed away. His final wish was that his best friend be cared for and loved as a reward for his companionship and unconditional love over the years. This almost did not come to be when a family member decided that finding Trigger a home was a bother and had made the appointment to have him put down. Fortunately, he was rescued by other family members before this tragic and senseless act could be accomplished and is now safe and thriving in his temporary home making new friends, both two legged and four legged, where his only aggression is how fast he can wag his tail.

　　His weight gain is evidence of his owner's declining health over the past year that made the walks they enjoyed together less frequent, to where they ceased altogether, but since being put on a healthy diet and exercise, he has begun to shed the pounds, close to 20 so far, and with that, has increased his energy level. There is a ways to go but with his willingness to please and outgoing personality, it should not be long before he is back to his thinner, former self. No doubt his former owner will be looking down from heaven cheering on his faithful friend and hoping that his new forever home will give him the love and happiness that he so deserves. please contact Jose @
