　　When Dante's foster mom is asked to describe Dante, three words immediately pop into her mind: energetic, happy, and affectionate. This handsome, long-legged boy loves playing fetch with his favorite red toy and he loves being next to his favorite people. He has learned to sit and stay when told, and he does a fantastic job following voice commands when he is out in a park running without a leash. He needs some help learning to walk calmly on a leash. Dante needs to live with someone who has an active life-style and a fenced-in yard. While he gets along very well with other dogs and lives with some canine buddies, people are where he's at. Dante is a people dog, although he can be shy with strangers. He is a happy guy who often looks like he's smiling.

　　Dante is about two years old. He is housebroken and crate-trained. He enjoys gnawing on bones, but has no interest in things like furniture, or other items he shouldn't chew. He is neutered and has had all of his shots. He is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. He lives with a foster family in Auburn Alabama. He has not had experience with little children or cats. He likes the human teenager that he lives with a lot. There is an adoption application requiring references and a home visit.
