My story
Pocahontas is a 3-year-old female Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle dog)/Terrier mix who must be spayed before she is adopted. She came to PAHS in July as a stray from out in the county. Pocahontas' owner never came looking for her. She was both pregnant and heart worm positive. Poca had 2 beautiful puppies who were all adopted. Then she was treated for heart worms. Poca is completely healthy now and ready for her very own home. Now for more info about this great dog-Poca's medium length coat is mostly black with quite a bit of white and some brown markings. Pocahontas weighs 20 pounds so she is considered to be a medium sized adult dog. She is an absolutely beautiful girl who is just as sweet as she is pretty! Pocahontas is super friendly and affectionate. She would do great in a home with other dogs and children. Pocahontas is both housetrained and leash trained. She is very well behaved and would make an awesome addition to almost any family! ****Please note that when introducing a new dog into a home with children and other pets adult supervision is strongly recommended until the new dog settles in with the family.****Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120 and cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
