My story
Pixie is super friendly and sweet. She loves to sit next to you and follow you around. When you go to pet her she will press against your hand showing she loves it. This little girl is super happy to be off the streets. Now she just needs to find a home where she can be the center of attention. Pixie is a young playful kitten and will need to be adopted into a home with another playful animal. She does have one obstacle currently against her. She has ocular FIP. FIP is mutation of a common virus and is NOT communicable to other cats. Pixie has been nothing but happy and healthy since we started her on the FIP medication. She simply has to take a pill once a day, which she gladly swallows along with some of her favorite treat, Churru. If you are willing to foster or adopt Pixie, we will provide all medication free of charge. As of the end of 2021 she will be more than half way done with her 82 day treatment.Along with 9 other kittens and 12 adult cats, Pixie was living in a yard filled with trash and junk in El Monte, CA. She and her siblings were all incredibly sick with upper respiratory infections. They were rescued by 2 amazing volunteers from Stray Paws Animal Haven, taken in for immediate medical support, spayed and neutered and socialized.Pixie is currently decompressing in a foster home. She was brought to the home along with some of her colony mates on Oct 29th.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pixie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
