My story
Wrappin' up some love!Hewo hooman! My name is Pita. I am a 1-year-old, spayed female, Terrier Mix weighing around 30 lbs. I am here because The Animal Pad rescued me from Tijuana. I am partially bathroom trained, but sometimes I still prefer to wait to go on my puppy pad. I don’t pull on the leash, but I do get puppy energy bursts at times where I spin around while on leash once or twice. I’m working on simple commands such as sit, down, stay and come. I am crate trained with positive treat reinforcement, but I do well on my own outside of the crate as long as I have a pee pad and the floor is clear of things I could chew on. I Know “go to bed” & will sleep in my bed (inside the crate) with the gate open all through the night. I am pending an ophthalmology appointment to check my eyes.Let’s share a little bit about me! I am calm, mild mannered, very sweet & affectionate (love to cuddle up on the couch and give kisses), timid of strangers but I am quick to warm up and a quick learner. I am the most energetic and silly when playing with other doggos and around little hoomans. I don’t show any signs of anxiety and I can be comfortably left alone for up to 4hrs. I am very quiet, I’ve only ever barked (if you can call it that because of how quiet it was) 3-4 times since I’ve been with my foster and all of them were when I was excited to be playing. I am very doggo friendly! I love to play with all dogs. I have not met any cats yet so not sure how I would do. I LOVE little hoomans (they are my fav kind of hooman)! My favorites things are cuddling and giving kisses. I like to go play with my rope and treat kong toy. I enjoy daily walkies or trail adventures where I can stop and smell the flowers/bushes etc. and I’m working on being a good running partner as well. Most of all, I love to play with doggos or be around little hoomans. My perfect furever home would be one with love and patience. I can do well in multiple types of homes. I can be the only doggo, but I feel I might enjoy having a doggo sibling more because of how much I enjoy playing with others. I am great with little hoomans and would do well in a mellow (with walkies/puppy dates) or active home. I can be home alone for about 4hrs (no separation anxiety), but of course would also enjoy company. My adoption fee is $500 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/##1282419##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pita, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
