Pit Bull Terrier - Courtesy Post - Duke - Large - Baby - Male
Contact Jen: ( To Whom It May Concern, I'm really concerned and torn about this. My boyfriends neighbor surrendered his pitbull almost two weeks ago. His name is Duke and he is about 1 1/2 years old. He has already been fixed. I have seen him around children and he gets along great. I have also seen him around other little dogs (that is what the neighbor had as well) and he got along perfectly fine. He acts like a puppy but in a big dogs body. Anyways, he is at Castaic Animal shelter, and I am trying to do everything I can to get him out. He doesn't belong there and it is really disturbing that someone can just surrender there dog and not even think about it again. He doesn't deserve this (I know none of them do), and he has touched my heart. The previous owner of the dog used to tie him up to a tree instead of fixing the since yard fence. When they would forget to tie Duke up he obviously would get out of the yard. He would wonder the street and all of the neighbors knew him and would return him. This is how I met Duke. I returned him multiple times. He needs love. I believe he would be quite easy to train, he answers to his name. When walking back to his house he would be right next to side, whether there was a squirrel or another dog. If there is anyway you could please help save this dog I would greatly appreciate it. I can also pay for his adoption fees, and help with his food. I would personally take him but I have no where to take him. If I take in a dog I will be homeless (which is why I don't have any). You can reach me anytime through e-mail [email removed] or my cell phone (. Attached is a photo of Duke. His animal ID is A4656511. Thank You, Jen Gillman
