Pistol Pete's story
This is Pistol Pete. He is an older guy, maybe 8 or 9 years old. Our best guess is that this little guy was turned in to the shelter because his owner, who obviously loved him very much, went to a senior care facility. Pistol Pete wants nothing more in life than to be right next to his person. He is a very low maintenance dog. He lets you know when he wants to go out. When Pete was first turned into the shelter, he had a round little belly from too much love in the form of calories. However, he slimmed down quickly and became a more active dog. Even so, Pistol Pete is mostly a snuggly couch potato. This little guy is nothing but love in doggie form. He is the perfect companion. Pistol Pete is in a home with other dogs and cats, but is most interested in people. Like most terriers, he thinks he is the boss. He is especially bossy with cats. Pistol Pete is heartworm negative, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is fostered in Huntsville, AL, and he looks forward to hearing from you!
