My story

　　Phil is Phabulous!   Phil has an interesting story.  Let me begin by saying, he is healthy, FeLV and FIV negative, confirmed with Idexx PCR testing!   Phil came into rescue with his mother and siblings.  During their vetting process, Phil had an unusual result on his routine FeLV / FIV screening.  It was inconclusive. Mother and siblings negative, so we re-tested him at next vet visit and he tested positive!   We sent out PCR test to confirm when he was 6 months old, and it returned a positive result.  We were devastated for our little foster kitten, and decided although he had to be isolated from other kitties, we would give him his best life.  As time passed, he remained healthy and happy.  Long past the amount of time a cat with FeLV should be healthy.  At age 2, I decided to re-test him, because it just made no sense that he would be so healthy (or even still with us) if he had FeLV.  He tested negative!!!!   So, we sent a blood sample to Idexx for PCR testing, and he is confirmed negative!!!!     This is fairly unheard of, and we are thrilled!!!!   Phil is Phine!!   Phil has a Phuture!!!

　　Phil is now Phree - out and about in our house with our cats and dogs, and he's a happy, sweet phunny boy   he is ready for his Phorever Phamily!!!
