Petra's story

　　Petra is a 4-5MO terrier mix weighing about 7-9lbs. Please, please don't overlook Petra! We know most people overlook the black dogs because they don't catch their attention as easily, but if Petra could catch someones attention with nothing but her personality and adorable manorisms she would have people fighting over her.

　　Petra was dumped at a shelter in TX because her family was moving and thought it would be a hassle to bring her along...the story that happens all to often. Petra was terrified at the shelter, curled up in a little ball, completely confused how the people she loved most in this world would do this to you, and hoping it was a mistake, that they were coming back. Well we knew they weren't coming back, so we quickly got little Petra out of the shelter and into a loving foster home. within about 48 hours Petra came to life.

　　It only took a day or two before we really got to know the real Petra. She is a happy, loving, playful, snuggly pup. She does great with other dogs, she would love to have a doggy sibling of her own to play with, but she loves humans just as much so it's not mandatory. Petra is doing great with potty training, although she will most likely need a refresher when moving into another new environment. She loves to snuggle up on the couch with her foster mom, and even burrow under the covers to get that extra warmth. She is literally the sweetest dog and everybody knows it!
