Genuine Persian Rug-- NOT an Indian, Pakistani, or Chinese Replica.
Amazing Hand-woven Persian Sarouk Rug from the 1960s.
10' 2" w/o fringes X 7' 3.5"-------------- 10'4.5" with fringes.
New, unused, very great wool, fine weave, outstanding design & colors, a authentic & extremely unique Persian Sarouk rug.
COLORS & CONDITION: tomato red, navy border, tear drop medallion, cornices, halvai curled selvage sides from the tight weave and excellent wool. A pale khaki olive in the pattern and secondary borders is among the distinguishing attributes of this carpet. Wedgwood blue, palest pink, ivory, and chili powder contrast with the tomato red of the field making a very warm and welcoming, though still really official looking, carpeting. There is a deeper royal blue in the pattern and touches of jade green and pumpkin for a couple of surprises right here exist. The red field is striated with dye lot changes that vouches for its credibility as a handmade Persian. The khaki olive color is striated with a darker shade that is greener. The navy border is striated with darker lines, nearly black. Thick, luxurious, luscious, wool is so pliable that it is curling at the sides.
