Percy's story
The definition of PERSERVERANCE: steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. This is exactly what Percy (short for perseverance) did in an empty wash prior to being spotted by her rescuers/now fosters who also showed perseverance and patience for many weeks prior to finally catching her.
She survived on her own, without shelter or food, for nearly a year! Yet what happened ten minutes after being in the backyard of her saviors? She was playing fetch and jumped in their pool! She was clearly someones dog at some point, and while we are not sure if she was dumped or was lost? Now that shes all tuned up (and fixed) we are happy to let you know that this active love bug is AVAILABLE for adoption!
What we know about Percyabout three years and 45 pounds, and:
Loves: BALLS/fetch, pools, trampolines (yes, thats right!), food, and laps!
Dislikes: cats and other alpha dogs
Percy is very, very smart, crate-trained, loves to be active, but wants a lap once shes gotten her exercise. She has shown some resource aggressiveness in regards to food, so a home with young children is NOT advised. She has also had some scuffles with her fosters other alpha female dog, so a home as an only dog or with other non-alpha dogs will be best.
