My story

　　I am Penny K, the K is for Kandi which was my original name when I first came to BROOD as just a wee pup. I was adopted and had a great 6 years with my family. It started with just 2 children and then grew to 5. And then my family just didn't have the time for me as the children required most of their attention. So I am back with BROOD looking for my next forever family.I am incredibly sweet and loving and no one can pass me by without saying hi. I am a favorite at my doggie daycare and everyone is always happy to see me. I don't bark much, usually only to get someone's attention so they will pet me or to speed you along when it's dinner time. I am housetrained and really don't care much for being outside. I do what I have to do and am ready to come back in where the sofa is. So I would be perfectly fine without a fenced yard or long walks around the block. I do have a touch of arthritis and take daily medication, so I am not looking to run any marathons of course! I really love children and have a mothering instinct. I get along with any dog I meet and even do well with cats. My prior owner had chickens and I felt it was my duty to protect them from any predators and would chase other critters away. I am the perfect house guest, sweet, loving well behaved. And don't need much more than your love. Please contact BROOD today!!! 　　We adopt to residents of Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, DC, Delaware, and southern Pennsylvania.

　　Do not apply to adopt from BROOD if you live in another state.

　　We require a virtual home visit and a veterinary reference.

　　The age of many BROOD dogs is unknown, as very few come with official records.

　　The estimate on the dog's age is usually the initial estimate given by the receiving shelter, which may be different from that given at the time of the initial checkup.

　　Different veterinarians may also give different ages, and those different opinions are sometimes reflected on the record.
