PENNY's story
Penny was brought to the shelter with her sister Cola because their owner was moving and could not take all of the dogs to their new location. Penny and Cola are mushing trained and have been handled by children. They are very sweet girls who like people and dogs! These girls have been kept as outdoor dogs, so they likely don''t know about a lot of the aspects of indoor life, including how cats and small animals work. If they are brought indoors they will need to be house trained and closely supervised to help them learn what behaviors are appropriate when inside- they have been doing a very nice job keeping their kennels clean here at the shelter. Alaskan huskies are very athletic, intelligent and independent dogs! They need opportunities to exercise daily so that they don''t become bored and chew on inappropriate things. Penny is hoping to find an active home that loves to play outside!
