Pedro's story
Pedro is a 10 week old chihuahua. His picture doesn't do him justice with how small he is. His Mom only weighs about 6lbs, and he weighs about 4 right now.
Pedro was dumped at a high kill shelter in TX with his mom and sibling. The shelter did not have the resources to care for them, so they reached out to rescued for help. Of course we couldn't say no to this itty bitty family so we decided to bring them to CO into a safe foster home, until they were ready for adoption. They have been here for 3 weeks, and are officially ready for adoption!
Pedro and his brother Pepe are sweet, loving, little pups. They love to rough house with each other and snuggle up with their foster mom for nap time. They have the typical happy puppy personality. We do want to be careful and not place them in homes with little kids since they are so small. They would do great with another doggy sibling, but it is not mandatory. Since they are young puppies, we want to make sure they are not alone for 8-9 hours a day, and have someone who is home often with them and can really work on socializing and training them.
