Patches's story

　　Meet Patches! Patches is the West shelter's longest cat resident at over two months. Now this picture pretty much sums up Patches- "Oh, you want me to look AT the camera? Nah- I'm gonna look up and over instead." Simply put, Patches is a cat. ;-)

　　Patches likes to play this fun game with the humans, called "Does she like me or is she going to eat me?" She'll purr a little and lure you in, then WAPOW! Here comes a pawful of cat claws to let you know it's time to go away, human. Isn't that such a fun game?! J/k, it's really not that bad. Patches is a cat. They're temperamental. She'll let you know when she wants to be pet and if she doesn't like you so much. The thing Patches unequivocally ALWAYS likes? Treats! She'll take them right from your hand and gobble them up. I'm pretty sure this is the way to her heart. Next week I'm going to give her about 10 tuna snacks and I'm preeeeetty sure I can get a little pet in unscathed.... we'll see. ;-)

　　So, if you're a "cat person"- come prove it! Patches is allll cat, and she's looking for an understanding owner to give her the space she needs to do her cat things. Ie, sleep and eat. Come visit 4 yr old Patches at the MCAC West shelter at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx. Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun.
