As of Sept. 1, I still do have the parrots
I am looking to trade my proven breeding pair of Military Macaws. I would like to trade them for a Large Animal Environments Stainless Steel Lifescapes Avian Play Area. I attached the link below to show you what I am looking for.
These parrots have lived with us since 1986! Same spare bedroom they have been in. They have to be indoor birds as they both are feather pickers. They started that about 8 years ago when I stopped letting them have babies. I bet they would now feather pick their babies too if you decide to breed them. The female lays 3-4 eggs in every clutch! Most of the time there's 3 babies.
They are extremely loud screamers when someone they don't know goes into their bedroom. But with us they are quiet and will even take fruit out of your hand. They are very good flyers too. They circle around the bedroom all of the time! And if you leave them out of their cage they will chew eveything. These have been my Mom's parrots, but due to her advancing age she is no longer able to care for them. I know these will be hard to find a home for, but I thought that I would start here trying to re-home them.
Send me your phone number if you are interested and I will call you back. I will not answer any e-mails.
I prefer to trade them, but would consider selling them. Make an offer and leave your number for me to call you back.
I would also consider two stainless playrings from Animal Environments instead of the play area.
