Otis's story
Hello, my name is Otis. I am a really cute little terrier mix. My coat is medium in length and black and white in color. I am a 2nd timer to the Ark. A family that decided they did not really want me adopted me 6 months ago. They returned me to the Ark. I am glad they did because the people at the Ark are my friends. I am always welcome here. I was born May 2008. I weigh about 20 lbs. I am a little nippy until I get to know you. Know what? I love the Ark but I really do want a home that will keep me. It is hard to learn to love a family and they just give you up. That means we have to start our love all over again with a new family. We can do it! Want me to start my love all over with your family? When you come to the Ark, ask to see Otis. Thats me.
Otis is one of my favorites, his shyness has turned to defensive and he has to get to know people. It will take about 2 visits to make him know you. Volunteering for morning duty will help, since he relaxes when running free while we do the work. He will make you a GREAT pet if you give him a little time. We are looking for a home with very little visitors because Otis needs to be put up in that time and someone who knows the heart of a stressed, mistreated Terrier. If you take the time to make friends, he will reward you with the best love ever.
UPDATE: November 2017 Otis is now a special needs dog. He has tested allergic to Dust, Cats and Pecan wood. He also has is highly allergic to Flea bits.
Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only.
