　　While he normally works in very large formats, Nottebohm released a limited series of small paintings on etched metal in 2001. In that series, he produced just one triptych: Three panels comprising a single artwork.

　　The triptych is entirely unique: it is unique within an already limited series, and that series was a unique format within his entire body of paintings.

　　This piece is ideal for a collector who wants an original Nottebohm, but doesn't want to take up an entire wall. (Most of his works are far too large and heavy for most households, or even galleries.) It would be even better for a collector who already has one or more Nottebohm works, and would like to add this as the crown to their collection.
