　　I have sifted through each of these volumes and the interiors are excellent & very close to pristine. Some of the inside front covers have staining but overall I found no signs of markings, underlining, dog earing, notations or creasing. The gold / gilt lettering shows minimal wear and is in remarkable shape. All illustrations and pullout pages are clean and undamaged. There are dozens of onion skin transparency pages that are in outstanding condition. They all appear to be undamaged. The binding is very good on all volumes. There are no loose pages or spine separating There is some scuffing, wearing and fading to the front covers. This is most apparent on the edges and corners to some of the spines. For books that are between 110 and 114 years old, I would say the overall condition is very good. If you have any questions please ask!
