Opie's story

　　**Opie is currently being fostered in HOUSTON. He is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. His adoption fee is $495 for non-local adopters, which covers his transport to his new family. He is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped.** Hey guys, my name is Opie and I'm looking for a family! I was found on the streets of Houston in horrible shape! After my skin healed up, the vet found that I had a condition called entropion in my right eye that had caused an ulcer on my cornea. It is a congenital condition where the eyelid turns inward and my eyelashes were scratching my eye every time I blinked! Fortunately, I had surgery to correct the problem and I'm good as new! I feel so much better! I had no idea one little thing could cause so much discomfort and now it's gone! My doctor said I have full vision in that eye now and will not have any long term problems! I am about one year old and weigh 60 lbs. I am very sweet and am learning how to play with toys. I am a little bit shy with new people but I get braver every day! I love my foster family and get along great with my k9 foster siblings! I am looking for a family who will show me what love is all about! I am still young and can be a bit rambunctious but I'm working on my manners. I just get so excited that I like to jump up on people and give hugs! I also LOVE treats!!!!
