Opal's story
Opal is infinitely sweet and shes ready to find her future family. This shy, lovely girl joined us from the South LA shelter. She came to our Jefferson Park facility to have some time to unwind, and we could tell she was just waiting to open up. Volunteers quickly began falling in love with her calm, gentle demeanor.
And when we took her out to playgroups, her tail came straight out from between her legs and started wagging like wed never seen it! She completely lit up around the other dogs, showing us hilarious rolling, spinning, super sweet play moves with the other dogs.
While we think Opal could do fine on her own with some patience, we think shed really love joining your existing dog at home--this girl is a social butterfly at heart!
About 5 years old and 50 pounds, Opal is crate-trained, house-trained, micro-chipped, up to date on routine vaccinations and working on her basic commands.
