　　  Meet Oliver! This handsome, long haired, chocolate point Siamese mix with the beautiful blue eyes can't hellp but capture your attention! He is a teen who was rescued from the streets when he was seen begging for food and his rescuer quickly realized that he was  seeking attention, affectionate and receptive to being petted.Oliver is a gentle fellow and scared, but SO sweet. He just needs more socialization in order to feel more comfortable as an indoor kitty after trying to survive outdoors in the streets. He is now being fostered along with his friend, Paisley and the two of them snuggle and play together. Prior his current foster home, he spent some time with Dexter and he and Dexter are also buddies.Now that Oliver has been with his foster family for several weeks, we have learned more about this little guy. He is a shy boy at first, but once he feels comfortable in his surroundings, you will find he is very loving and affectionate. Oliver loves to have conversations and is a talkative boy who loves to rub against your legs as you bend down to pet him. He will come snuggle if you are lying on the couch and becomes a purr machine as he stretches out and falls asleep on your chest, purring contentedly, He has been around two small dogs and he is fine with them, although Oliver does startle easily and would probably do best in a calm, quiet household. He has really bonded with his foster mom, although he sometimes bolts when her husband enters the room. We think that possibly he may not have been around men and, as with anyone, he just needs that time with someone who is patient and will help him feel confident and comfortable in his surroundings and his humans.  Oliver has been living with Paisley, a 4 month calico female who is also  being fostered in the same home. They have become good buddies and like to play together, which includes plenty of “zoomie” time and wrestling, bringing entertainment to those around them! When tuckered out, they are lying by side, or, if you are lucky, together on your lap! Oliver's foster mom thinks that Oliver and Paisley, temperament wise, make a great pair...one very exhuberant and the other on the shy side..a good balance together.If you are considering adopting Paisley and do not already have another animal at home, please onsider adopting another kitten, teen, or adult as well. Kittens are very cat oriented. As with all young kittens, she would be much too lonely without a companion when you are not home. This way they will have another kitty to play and cuddle up with when you are not with them, and, as an added bonus, they will double your pleasure and fun as well! If you are considering adopting Oliver and do not already have another animal at home, please consider adopting another kitten, teen, or adult as well. Kittens are very cat oriented. As with all  kittens, he/she would be much too lonely without a companion when you are not home. This way they will have another kitty to play and cuddle up with when you are not with them, and, as an added bonus, they will double your pleasure and fun as well! NOTE:  Olvier can meet potential adopters right away.  However, he has a sterilization appointment on February 14th in the 92110 area, which means the adopter must be available that day to take him to our veterinarian and pick him up after surgery.  The surgery is included in the adoption fee and NO CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING will be allowed.  Adopters must be available to drop the kitten off and pick him up later that day on 2-14-22.  PLEASE CHECK YOUR CALENDAR!  Therefore, priority will be given to local area adopters.  If you live outside of the San Diego area and would like to adopt, you are welcome to check back to see if this rescue is still available after the surgery is completed (we do not put holds on any of our rescue animals). Adoption process: Submit a cat adoption application online at ARWOB.org Once received, an adoption counselor will contact you via phone or email within 1-4 days of submission to finalize processing your application. If approved to adopt a meet and greet will be scheduled at our adoption center at which time if the meet goes well and you choose to move forward with the adoption our kitties are ready to go home the same day.*Once you submit an adoption application online if the cat you select is no longer available or is not a match for you but you are interested in other cats there is NO need to resubmit an application, just request ARWOB transfers that application to another rescue cat you'd like to meet which we currently have available for adoption or if you see someone in the future you'd like to meet please contact the group and request to reactive your application. Notes for applicants:-We do NOT place holds on rescues, please, do not submit an application unless you are READY to adopt MEOW. -We require landlord approvals. if you rent, you should have written landlord approval before you apply to adopt a cat as we can't hold adoptions back or place hold on rescues. -If you are not contacted by a volunteer within 4 days of submitting an application, please contact ARWOB via email to follow up on your application status, we typically cancel applications if there is no communication from both parties within a week and assume applicants are no longer interested.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application.
