Olds Recording Trombone, 1958.I have greatly enjoyed playing this horn but can no longer play due to neuromuscular issues. This horn has minimal wear and is in perfect playing condition. I did play in a community band for a time and got many compliments about the tone quality of this instrument. It is very refined and smooth. The slide is, perhaps, the smoothest I have ever played in my 59 years of playing.
Not lacquered Serial Number 247835, mid 1958 Original case, pristine interior and quite
substantial, includes keys. No easily detectible scratches, dents or
imperfections except some minimal wear where held by hands. The marks are
so small they were hard to photograph. Perfect Old's octagonal slide that is the smoothest
you'll likely find. Includes a Bach 6 1/2C and a vintage York Al-Tru 10M
mouthpieces. Dual bore, .495/.515 Eight-inch Rose Brass bell No restoration or other work needed.
Chemically cleaned by dealer and sanitized. Includes a folding trombone stand. This is not a lacquered instrument. I kept the brass
polished and coated with high quality ceramic polish, which prolongs the beautiful
shine of the natural brass, rose brass and nickel metals and inhibits water and slide
oil marking.
This horn is a joy to play because of the ultra-smooth
slide and the amazingly mellow tones that one can achieve playing it.
This is an exceptional horn, with very few Old's
Recording trombones offered for sale that are as near perfect, visually and functionally, as this horn.
