My story

　　Sometimes you meet the seemingly perfect partner, and you both fall so deeply in love… and although everything SHOULD work, it just doesn’t. You go to counseling, and both compromise and try your absolutely hardest— but for some reason, it’s just not a match, no matter how very hard you want it to be.

　　That’s Olaf’s story. He was adopted a year ago to a loving family. He got along with all their animals because they did proper introductions and had patience. They invested in Olaf by providing him training, consistency and structure, and even medication for anxiety. They did everything right— but Olaf is just not in the right home. And because they love him SO much and will do whatever it takes to make him happy, they know the right thing is to find him another home, no matter how badly it hurts them.

　　Olaf is an incredibly sweet, snuggly, and well-behaved boy. He’s very food motivated and smart so he’s easy to train. He walks lovely on a leash and is fully housebroken. He’s move-in-ready! The issue is that Olaf has a pretty high prey drive and gets over-aroused easily by fast movements and loud or high-pitched sounds. When cats or dogs in his home start to play together or zoom around, his biology takes over his brain for a moment. He can’t help it; it’s just who he is, but it’s made it so that accidents have almost happened. So his family did what they always do, and tried to make it work by crating and rotating animals. Well, Olaf does NOT like the crate and, of course, he’s a bit of a Velcro boy, so being locked away from his people for long periods of time is not an option. So after all the effort, all the trying and all the tears, it’s been decided that for the well-being of all animals in the home, Olaf should probably be an only pet.

　　Don’t get us wrong, he’s still a very kind and polite guy. He’s a dream 90% of the time, but with the right home with no other animals and older kids, that can turn 90 to 100%, and this guy deserves a perfect score. He’s come so far and learned so much.

　　If you currently have a somewhat quiet, no-animal house where someone is almost always home, but maybe something’s missing, maybe it’s a little bit lonely—
