  OK/Red's story

Hey guys and gals, Red here. Just want to say that I have been such a good boy. I just turned 3 yrs old, orange/white, neutered male close to 60 pounds, a little under. Depends on my cookies that I can convenience my Foster Dad to give me by being cute. I love to go for walks, and my Foster Dad tells me I am a dream on the leash. I have learned to sit, and I know what the word food means. My favorite word ever! I do need to let you know that over the past few weeks, I have come down with a moderate case of the zoomies. Its not severe and no one has been hurt, but my foster home has wood floors. Just saying, its only a matter of time. So, if you are looking for a calm, handsome boy that is full of love, then I am your boy. He is up to date on immunizations, heartworm negative, neutered and micro chipped. Housebroken.

From Foster Dad: Big Red came to NBRAN as a shelter pull. He was found as a stray and was scheduled to be put down before the NBRAN volunteers came to his rescue. He is about 3 years old and around 60 pounds. He is very calm and laid back. He is the strong silent type. He is a little shy around new people. After his big foster brother was adopted, Reds personality has really started to show. He is still laid back and calm, but gets really excited when someone comes home. He is really happy to see you and starts to run and play. This makes my heart swell, knowing how shy he was when he got here. Red would do better in a home where he is the only dog or maybe a home with no alpha dog. He now has a new foster brother that is smaller than him and they are both doing very well playing together and keeping each other company. Red came to the shelter as a stray with a limp. X-rays showed he has two or more shotgun pellets in his hip. The veterinarians said the pellets will cause no long term health problems and as you can see from his photos, they dont slow him down at all. Just looking into his eyes, he just wants to be with a loving family where he can be safe.
