OK/Macy's story

　　Hi, my name is Macy. I am an orange/white 45 lb spayed female Brittany/Collie. UTD on Vaccines.

　　I am currently living with my foster family and I am looking for my forever home. I am young, only 2 years old and I have lots of energy to play with you. When I came to NBRAN they tested me for those nasty heartworms. I was positive, so I have been going through treatment for the last three months. I am almost done with treatment and I am looking forward to being able to run and play with my friend at my foster home. Yes, I love to play with other dogs, its fun. Since I have been restricted on playing, I have learned how to snuggle with mom and dad. I usually like to sit or lay at their feet at night when they watch TV. When its time for bed, I curl up at the foot of the bed and never move until morning. I am learning how to walk on a leash, my foster mom is happy that I dont pull or tug. I always look up at her to make sure I am doing it right. I follow mom around the kitchen and I like to lay at her feet when she is cooking. I try not to let mom or dad out of my sight. I dont mind being in my crate during the day when mom and dad are gone, but I am so happy when they come home. Sometimes dad takes me for a ride in the Jeep, I like to ride in the car! I am very much a young lady, I dont jump up and I know to go to the door when I need to go outside. I need to work on being around little people that sometimes come to visit, they kinda scare me. The are small, loud and move very fast. They make me nervous so I hide behind moms legs. When we have company at the house, I bark and run away at first but then I warm up slowly to new people.

　　Good with other dogs, dont know about cats

　　Can be standoffish with strangers and appears to be afraid. Warms up slowly to adults and appears to be fearful of small children

　　House and crate trained

　　Easily walks on leash

　　Medical Note: Macy is just finishing HW treatment and will be ready for her forever family in two weeks. She is currently on Heartguard and will be able to be on any Heartworm prevention once she is cleared.

The fee to adopt Macy in Oklahoma is $325 to offset her vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful pets in need. Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles.
