My story
My name is Carter and I’ve had quite the journey in my lifetime. neutered 5–7-year-old 40# Orange/White Brittany that has nothing but love to give. I am utd on all my vaccines, HW Neg and on HW Prevention. Housebroken, crate trained and the biggest love you will ever meet.
I am a very happy boy ready to find that loving gentle family of my own. I would love to climb in your lap to be cuddled or scratched or play with toys. I am very good in the house, and love car rides. I have a kind temperament, eager to please, and I am basically your normal goofball Brittany boy! I love everyone; people, dogs, cats, and children, and just want to love and be loved. I would like to play and romp in my own fenced yard please. I would love a good-tempered fun play mate to cuddle and hang with. I would be good with lots of hugs, cuddles, and attention from my humans too if you play and exercise with me.
From Foster parents: Carter has come such a long way! He loves watching wildlife on our sunporch and eagerly will run and investigate with our resident dogs. He is still learning to play with toys and has played tug with his foster brothers. He likes to pounce on top of a ball and bat it around when playing outside. He loves to have his people outside with him and will romp and play with us and his foster brothers. Carter will vocalize going outside and if he sees a squirrel will merrily chase after it and even try to spot it in a tree. Carter is calm in the house, loves to cuddle next to you on the couch (or in your lap) and gets along well with our other resident dogs and cats. We have a four-foot chain link fence and he’s never attempted to climb it or try to escape. Carter gets excited when he sees his leash and harness come out but still needs leash work. He is wonderful in new situations and is very calm around children of all ages and other resident pets. Carter loves car rides and has charmed all the vets and vet techs at our clinic. Carter knows some basic commands (sit, down, off, come here, down, hup, leave it).
