My story
12/04/21 Polar Girl and Nulchin were surrendered to the shelter because their previous owner had too many sled dogs. Both of these ladies have run in harness before and would love to again! They are both very friendly and sweet once they have warmed up to you. Polar Girl is quite more outgoing than Nulchin. These girls were said to be team dogs, but who knows what kind of lead dog may be lurking beneath the surface! Neither are housebroken but have successfully kept their kennels clean while at the shelter, so please take that into consideration if considering them for a pet dog. Alaskan huskies, as a breed, tend to have high prey drive and be very energetic. This should be considered if introducing them to a home with smaller critters, such as cats or pocket pets. We also encourage finding an outlet for their energy, such as canicross or skijoring. Under-stimulated Alaskan huskies can develop destructive behaviors or become quite the escape artists. If you are interested in meeting either of these lovely ladies, give the shelter a call!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt NULCHIN, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
