My story

　　12/01/21 This adorable girl is Nova. Nova is looking for the perfect home that can meet all of her needs. Her previous owner stated that although she did well with kids she would do best in a home without children. Because of that we are requiring that she goes to a home without children under 12 years old. Nova was also known to have some food aggression. Please be extremely cautious when having food around her. We have not seen this behavior at the shelter but her previous owner stated that this behavior has been something that they have really struggled with. Nova also has a history of not getting along with female dogs and wanting to chase smaller dogs and cats. Because of that we are requiring that she also goes to a home without dogs and without cats. Nova does love her people! She has been wonderful towards her animal tenders and has become a favorite amongst the staff! Nova is said to be housebroken and has kept her kennel clean here at the shelter. Nova was described as a high energy dog that will require a lot of mental and physical stimulation to stay on her best behavior. She has been known to break out of kennels and be an escape artist. Keeping her well exercised and enriched should help with this behavior. If you are prepared to provide Nova with a home that meets all her needs we would love to hear from you!
