NOMAD's story

　　If you are looking for some chill company Nomad is the dog for you! He is looking for a human who can appreciate his sedentary life-style. He`s an older guy who likely lived quite a life and is now ready to live out his twilight years on a warm bed surrounded by lots of treats.

　　From what we`ve pieced together Nomad has had a rough past. He was found lying on the side of the road likely hit by a car. He sustained nerve damage in his front leg after this incident. Nomad also has many scars on his face and an old bullet lodged in his chest.

　　But Nomad isn`t the kind of dog to dwell on the past. He is currently in a foster home and living it up. Nomad`s favorite time of the day is mealtime and he`ll let you know he`s excited with a long howl! Nomad`s arthritis and nerve damage makes getting around a little harder but that doesn`t stop him. He`s a pro at the dog door and loves to sunbathe. He`s also not one to be left out of the excitement. If the other dogs are going outside, he`s going outside too. If everyone is in the kitchen, he`s also in the kitchen. Nomad, having years of experience is a pro at being a `good-boy`. He`s house trained, not a chewer, doesn`t get into the trash, and doesn`t engage with the other dogs in the house. That`s all puppy non-sense. He prefers being near his human, taking naps, and eating treats.

　　His foster mom suspects Nomad hasn`t had a lot of human interaction in his life. And if he has, some of those experiences must have been negative. He was pretty shut-down at the shelter and frankly didn`t do much except sleep. Everyday his personality shines through just a little more. He greets his foster mom at the door every time she comes home, tail wagging and howling in excitement. He also walks her out the back gate when she leaves from work. He gets jealous when the other dogs are getting attention and will come over to be petted as well. He use to shy away from human touch but seems to be enjoying it more and more. He`s always been very gentle and will likely do well in any environment.
