My story

　　Nolan is a Belgium Malinois, a very wonderful, busy breed of dog who is loyal and protective of their owner and this is certainly true of Nolan who needs to be BUSY and have a job to do. He needs someone who is knowledgeable of this breed and able to work with him to get him where he needs to be.He is not a calm, lazy type dog who is going to lie at your feet while you watch TV.No, not unless you have allowed him to be at DayCare all day or you have hiked with him that day or had him in training, then he just might for a little while.It takes a special persons) to have a Mal and make that dog a happy dog. Nolan was once fostered in a houseful of cats and he was fine with other dogs.He was adopted by a former MARF adopter. Sadly, the adopter turned out to not be who they wanted to be and, instead of training Nolan, they simply left him to his own devises for too long.That caused Nolan to come back to us a dog who no longer likes other dogs so much, though we believe, given the right training, he can get over that.He is still sweet and goofy, stealing your chair when you get up or sitting in your lap if you won't give up your chair, giving slobbery kisses, playing tug of war, etc, but he just stays put off by other dogs getting too close.Apply to FOSTER/ADOPT at MADISONARF.ORG
