Looking for a quiet and low-maintenance companion for your dog? Meet Niyol! This fearful puppy has come a long way since he was dumped near a Blackhat volunteers home in Salina Springs on the Navajo Nation, but hes still going to need some work. We named him the Navajo word for wind because he vanished every time you got within 20 feet of him. These days he is still hesitant to approach people, but you can corner him, pet him and pick him up, and he is very excited to see you as long as you are on the other side of the fence. Niyol does not bark, snap or bite, and he hasnt grown much since we got him, so he may be mixed with a small breed like chihuahua. We think he is
around 6 months old and probably 20 pounds. He loves other dogs and does not chase cats. He has had his puppy shots and has been neutered. If you are a patient sort and think you can win this little guys trust, were sure he will reward you with years of friendship and loyalty and would be a great companion for another dog.
Niyol is currently being fostered in Chinle, AZ through Blakchat Humane Society but transportation is available. If you are interested in this shy little guy, Call Cindy at . Adoption fee is $95
