*NITRO's story
Nitro was brought to the shelter as a stray, so not much is known about his past. However, when Nitro was found he had nipped a child. During his stay at the shelter, Nitro had been temperament tested. It was found that Nitro becomes over-excited around small children that are also excited and may attempt to herd/nip at them. Nitro also displayed some dominant behavior towards some dogs. In the shelter environment, Nitro keeps his kennel clean and seems to known basic manners. Nitro will need to go to a home without small children. It is also recommended that potential adopters bring other dogs in the household for a mutual visit before adoption. Nitro is a very active dog that needs and craves a job. Aussies can make great pets, but they do not thrive if they are not properly exercised mentally and physically and may develop bad habits.
