Do not buy this kit if you want to be able to (at least partially) blame your equipment for your lackluster photos! The D3500 is an incredible 24MP camera body. The Nikon 18-200mm, 1:3.5-5.6 GII ED DX lens just stayed on this camera—no other lens necessary! (IMO—I know others might prefer prime lenses.) The Speedlight SB-910 flash helped me get thousands of great shots indoors of my cute little family. Note: there is a small scratch on the front element of the lens (see pics). I purchased the lens with this scratch: it does not affect the pictures and I kept a UV filter (not included) on the lens to protect it for the entire time I’ve owned it. It's one I tried to answer before listing this camera, but couldn't find the shutter count in the menu options. Well, turns out, it's not available in the on-camera menu! I got this camera last year from the original purchaser on Facebook Marketplace, so (as the second owner and someone who thought he'd used the camera a lot) I'm really surprised by this low shutter count.
