ABOUT THE ARTIST Kristi Cavett Jones was raised by artistic parents, both having art degrees. Her father has placed (numerous times) in the top tenth percentile in state and federal duck stamp art contests, and her mother has sold work at a local gallery. Kristi studied art at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts (NOAFA), and is also self-taught. She has sold work at local shows and galleries, and has exhibited in shows in New Orleans and in northwest Caddo Parish, including Centenary College's Meadows Museum of Art and Artspace in downtown Shreveport. In 2011, she was awarded a visual arts grant from the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC). In 2015, her artwork was installed as a permanent exhibit for the new University Medical Center in New Orleans. She is a member of Louisiana Artists, Inc and the Hoover Watercolor Society.
