　　Meet Nelson!This sweet boy came to ARWOB in 10/2017. We were asked by a local SD county shelter with help with this sweet kitten who at the time was only about 3-4mo old. He had come into the shelter in 8/17 at only 6 weeks old. He stayed in a kennel while being treated for what the shelter thought was an ear infeccion and skin allergies. When we exited Nelson we quickly realized something was wrong with one front and hind leg. After taking him to a regular vet and not seeing obious breaks, we took him to a specialty vet hospital as it was clear there was something wrong with him. At this time, after being under the care and supervison of the specialist it was decided in March 2018 Nelson had 3 options:1_ two different ortho surgeries on the front leg which have a slow percentage of being successful or 2_ amputate the legor 3_ leave the leg for now and let Nelson enjoy his life until its noticable it needs to be amputated. At this time ARWOB chose to go with Plan 3 since he acts and runs and is active like any other cat and is not in any obvious pain.Potential adopters should know this kitty CAN NEVER GO OUTSIDE - indoor only adopter.Adopters should also know there is a potential for Nelson to become a Tripawd at some point in his life but not now. IF Nelson should need his leg amputated in the future ARWOB would be happy to pay the amputation removal fee. Nelson is amaazing and gets along with all! he loves being petted but not a fan of being carried around. We would be happy to do a foster to adopt trial for a couple of weeks for anyone who would like to give this VERY deserving, patient, loving, smart, and so much fun kitty.
