Shy boy Nathaniel has been busy working on coming out of his shell and is ready to find his forever home! When we met Nathaniel at the South LA shelter, he was very frightened. Despite the best efforts from shelter staff and volunteers, it was clear that Nathaniel would need the calm and quiet of a foster home to decompress and gain confidence. Thanks to his amazing foster family (both human and canine), Nathaniel has been making great progress.
Nathaniel loves his crate and will snooze there happily all day if he gets the chance. When hes out socializing, he loves playing in the back yard with his canine foster siblings and enjoying the company of his foster parents. Afterward, hes happy to lounge in a sunbeam or head inside to catch your favorite TV show. Now that hes feeling more adventurous, Nathaniel is excited to work on becoming a confident neighborhood stroller and expanding his social circle with his future family.
Nathaniel would prefer to go to a patient home that already has another dog or two; he finds that having friends that look like him gives him the extra confidence he needs to try new things.
About 6 years old and 30 pounds, Nathaniel is crate-trained, house-trained, micro-chipped, up to date on routine vaccinations and working on his basic commands.
