My story

　　ATTENTION: All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs. If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to and complete an application. We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Meet Nathan! Nathan is a super soft cuddly dog. Nathan is a 5 year old 9 pound Chihuahua that looks like a mini Shiba Inu. A perfect day for Nathan includes a morning and evening walk, relaxing on soft cushions, time outside to explore and lots of attention and cuddles from his owner. Nathan is potty trained. He gets a long well with dogs within his own household and he can be defensive if new dogs come near. Nathan is protective of his family and is uncertain when meeting new people, however, with lots of treats and patience, he learns to relax and eventually like others. He will do well in a family that has children over 12 and he prefers not to be left alone for more than a few hours. Nathan's adoption fee is $250. *Nathan has a history of seizures. They are mild and he has been examined by the vet, had bloodwork done, and determined to be otherwise healthy. His seizures are infrequent and not severe, and he is not on any medication for them at this time, but will need to monitored. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to and complete an application today!
