Nanday conures show a friendly side with similar-sized birds of other species in the wild as well as in captivity. A nanday conure enjoys being involved in the routine activities occurring around the house. Nanday conures are considered charming and clownish pet birds.
Behavior/Health Concerns: If introduced to a healthy diet early on, nanday conures will enjoy a variety of nutritious foods throughout their life. Nanday conures are known for being water lovers, sometimes jumping into the shower or bath with their human companions. Because these pet birds enjoy the water, it is important for owners to beware of any open fish tanks, toilets, sinks or bathtubs filled with water, which could become hazardous areas for the nanday conure.
