My story
My name is Nala and my story begins with the events of my rescue by the kind deputies of Animal Control. I was living under an old house that was being remodeled in an older section of town. No one was living there and I thought it was a nice place to have my puppies. We had been living there for a week or so, when our rescuers arrived. They could see that I had recently had puppies but they were nowhere in sight. The deputies took their time and “listened” to me as I tried to let them know about my babies that were under the house. Finally they went into the house and one deputy was able to get underneath the house through the floor and there he found my beautiful babies! He handed them carefully up to the other deputy one at a time. After arriving at the shelter a foster mom was found for us so we could be comfortable and safe while my puppies matured. All is well now and my babies are eating puppy chow and doing just great! Now it is time for me to find my forever home! I am a four-year-old terrier mix. The shelter made sure I had all of my vaccinations, that I had a microchip, and that I was spayed. One little problem did show up on my health check up. I am heartworm positive. I know with the shelter’s help I will safely complete my heartworm treatment. If you would like to donate to my treatment we would sure appreciate it! Finally I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the deputies who took the time to “listen” to me and save my puppies and to my foster mom who provided a safe place for us to thrive before finding our forever homes!
