My story
Nala Came back to us January of this year. Unfortunately she had as a few altercations with the owners other dog. They loved her very much and didn't want to give her up but due to the fear of her being aggressive when it came to her food they felt it was best because they had younger children in the home. Nala came to use very very nervous afraid of us and showed some aggression to protect herself from her new surroundings. It didn't take long for nala to gain trust in a few staff. We have been working very hard to get her comfortable around new people and she has been doing so great she loves just about anyone know. She still shows a bit of fear when meeting new people but once she sees they just want to show her love and attention she goes straight to your lap! Nala loves to go in water, loves walks and does good on leash, she does tend to pull a bit and like to run as well. But I think nala with the right person would be able to go up for adoption. No younger kids or other dogs. But someone who is willing to come in a few times and work with her before making a finally decision or until we feel as staff she is ready to go to her new home. In Nala's move to our building three she has changed in behavior so well. She no longer is aggressively territorial through her doors or gates. She shows excitement and playfulness when we enter her room. She has become more playful with her toys. She is thriving so well with strangers she was also was a part of the Fresno State research team. Nala has come out of her shell and loves to be cuddled and be loved on. She would do so well with someone who has a lot of time to give her affection and the exercise she needs.
