My story

　　NACHO is a fun and loving 3 year old RED PERSIAN. He weighs about 11 pounds, is neutered and has his claws. Nachos foster mom rescued him from a high kill shelter. Why he was surrendered is beyond comprehension, however, foster mom thinks the previous owners must have either been clueless or simply careless about the grooming needs of this loving boy. To be honest, he was a hot mess when she took him in. His coat was heavily matted and his eyes were all goopy because he is an extreme Persian with heavy eye drainage. Once cleaned up, he was and is a beautiful boy. He is typical of a red Persian, very laid back and easy going. He will play if there is another youngster around but he isnt aggressive about it. He just enjoys life. Nacho is high maintenance. Fortunately, he doesnt mind having his face wiped with a wet rag because his eyes need that at least every other day. If you dont have the time for that, he is not your cat. His coat needs to be shaved every 6 months. If it is not shaved, it gets heavily matted much like a lamb ready to be shaved. Even if he gets combed every day, his foster mom doesnt think it would be enough. His coat is extremely cottony and practically mats on sight. Shaving him makes both his and his new familys life easier. Nacho deserves to be with someone who understands and is willing to commit to what is necessary to keep him healthy. Anyone doing that will get a sweet, loving boy in return. Because Persians are prone to develop more health issues as they age, they will need an annual wellness exam and regular grooming. Our preference is for Nacho to get adopted into a home where his new parent(s) have experience with this wonderful breed and can promise to never mistreat, neglect, abandon or put him in a shelter.
