My story

　　Hey big, beautiful world, I’m Murphy!  I was born on 12/24/20, which means I'm still a big puppy full of energy, adventure, and curiosity.  The best home for me will be with a special person who loves those parts of life too. Knowing that I'm a young, active guy, it will make sense that little kiddos are not the best fit for me. It's not that I don't love them, I just play like a boisterous, young, goofy pup, and sometimes I forget that they aren't playful puppies too. I do love to have some older kids in the home to play and chill on the couch with. I would love a home where there was another dog or two so that we can play and hang out together all day long. I would also be good with having a feline friend in the house as well. The more the merrier, right!? I'm a smart guy and I like learning new tricks. I already know sit, lay down, and settle but I would like a family who can keep on keepin' on with me and teach me some additional life skills like how to walk politely on a leash, how to be better focused, and how to stay put! My ideal situation includes outdoor adventures (think hikes/long walks), a nice backyard to run and play in, and a home with other pets and older children to help me run off my energy and be the best Murphy I can be!

　　The suggested adoption donation for Murphy is $315. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2020 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $241,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.

　　Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. 

　　Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
