MUFASA (COURTESY POST)'s story

Please pay no attention to the fact that I love cheek scratches more than anything, or that I'll roll over to let you scratch my belly. I'm a lover, not a fighter! See my curly ear, and my healing battle wounds? I used to be king of the streets, running my turf under an iron paw. Then I got in a big fight, where another cat bit me on the neck. My throne was usurped... and the wound got infected. A nice lady took me inside when she noticed the huge, ugly wound on my neck. My pelvis was fractured too, so I had to be on cage rest for a while. She took me to the vet and it turns out, somewhere along the line I became FIV+. The vet told her to pass on the message that FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives just like any other cat, but I should only be either with other FIV+ cats, or very mellow cats who wont try to pick a fight. I don't like dogs. I'm between 5 and 6 years old, have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and I'm waiting for you. Bonus, I have extra toes, but there's no extra charge for that!
