Mr. Fantastic's story

　　Mr. Fantastic is a 7 year old male (neutered) black and tan Dachshund. He is a super charismatic guy with a lot of personality. He LOVES (LOVES, LOVES) his person but he is not too interested in anybody else. He would be great as a companion for one person, and he can definitely live with more and tolerate the extra people in his life, but he saves his love for just one. He is fun and quirky, loves a good walk, and adores food too much. He is currently on a diet and his new home will need to get a bit more weight off of him as Dachshunds do much better when they are leaner. He does stress easily and is not recommended for a busy household or a house that always has young (under the age of 10) children in it. He would be fine with visiting children as long as he is given his space (he tries very hard to avoid everybody he doesnt love but his person but he cannot do it all by himself).

　　He has some tricks up his sleeve like beg and play dead, walks great on a leash/harness and LOVES to go for rides about as much as he LOVES his person. He actually does fine with other dogs, even in public (i.e. no barking) and he is happy to greet polite dogs. If they get too friendly, he might warn them, but if they are not, he says hi and goes back to his person. He is also fine with cats, neutral on them or will avoid them if they get too close. He really is all about his person and other people, dogs and cats just are not that important to him.

　　He is 7 years old, neutered, microchipped, Heartworm negative and has all his shots. He wants a person to love and baby him (except for too much food) and that will just adore him back. Are you that person? He is fostered near Athens/Madison, Alabama.
