　　Breed/Weight/Coloring:

　　Moose is a Labrador Retriever if not purebred, definitely mostly purebred.

　　He is a big dude weighing in at about 100 lbs.

　　He is taller than your average lab at 3ft tall when he is on all fours.

　　He is all black and quite stunning, often getting stopped by strangers to comment on how stunning he is.

　　Rescue History:

　　Moose found himself getting rescued when a family reached out to a local rescue/foster person in their neighborhood explaining they had to give their dog up for personal reasons.

　　They asked him to take their family dog and the rest is history.

　　We knew handsome Moose would be an easy placement with his gorgeous looks so we didn't hesitate to take responsibility for rehoming this beautiful boy.

　　Since then he has been in foster care awaiting his forever home and never had to enter the shelter system.

　　Personality:

　　Moose has a typical lab personality - he is funny, goofy, playful, and in love with life!

　　He loves his family and his people.

　　He also loves his toys!!

　　He is pretty obsessed with his ball and wants to chase his ball 24/7.

　　Literally.

　　Sometimes Moose will place his ball on the couch and bark at the ball as if it's going to throw itself, he's a funny dude.

　　Moose's motto is "ball is life" and chasing them is what makes him happiest.

　　He also loves his toys almost just as much - he will happily play with anything and get pure enjoyment out of it.

　　Sometimes it can take over so we try to give him these things in moderation.

　　However, at least he knows how to entertain himself! His second favorite pasttime is getting rubbed and petted.

　　He loves loves loves to be brushed and will sit outside in the sun with you and be in ultimate heaven as you brush through his fur, this is his version of a Burke Williams massage.

　　He's not into kisses in his face but pets, love, belly rubs, and brushing is totally his thing.

　　When his foster dad is on the couch, he finds it most endearing when Moose tenderly walks up to him and paws at him almost as if he is asking for some affection.

　　Of course his foster dad obliges in the request for love.

　　Moose is also an awesome watch dog - similar to that of a German Shepherd - in that he will sternly bark at the door when there is a knock or human presence alerting his foster dad someone is there.

　　He is protective of his home and protective of his people.

　　If a person he does not know enters the home, it is best they have a toy or ball so they get Moose's approval.

　　Moose is extrememly well behaved in the home, not destructive at all, and very housebroken.

　　Moose loves the outdoors, cold/wet/rain doesnt bother him much at all.

　　Overall, Moose is definitely the guy who wants to be the center of attention so get ready to fall in love with a guy who thinks it's all about him and you will get showered with love and laughs in return.

　　Medical:

　　Moose is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and has no health issues.

　　Would do best:

　　Moose would do best with a family or couple who is willing to spoil him with attention and make him the center of their attention.

　　He would need a large yard spacious enough for him to chase his balls and play with his toys.

　　He is not a hiking or dogpark dog - he more prefers to be around the house, have his walks, and chase his balls.

　　Cats/Dogs/Kids: Moose seems to ignore cats so we suspect he would be fine.

　　Moose is a little protective on leash and gets over-excited on leash when he sees other dogs but off leash he is much better.

　　Moose gets along well with other large dogs.

　　He would do best with children 12 and up.
