My story

　　Mia needs a special home; can you be her hero? Mia loves belly rubs, chew toys, fluffy beds, and lounging in the sun, and she has the best `puppy dog eyes`! She would love to sleep beside you while you work or binge a show, and she can be trusted in the house while you`re away, although she`s happy to stay in her crate with a couple of toys. Mia is a sweet girl who`s about 2 years old and has a past that left her with some stranger-danger issues, but she`s been working hard on trusting humans and has come a long, long way. She`s ideally looking for a female-only household, as she`s still working on her fear of men, but a home with male humans who are dog-savvy could be a possibility with a proper introduction. Once Mia gets to know you, she`ll wag with her whole body when you come home, cover you in kisses at every opportunity, and want to be petted as long as you could possibly want to pet her. (Or even longer, she says!) She`s very smart, is treat-motivated, and responds well to training, and she`ll need to continue her training to help her heal. Mia does like playing with other dogs but prefers to be the alpha, so she`ll do well as an only dog or with a submissive male dog of similar size.
