Molokai's story
Molokai was taken in by a Good Samaritan after she noticed him languishing in her neighborhood. He is young dog, only four years, but was blind, weak and emaciated, with sores on his body. She talked the neighbor into surrendering him to her, and promptly took him to her vet. He had untreated diabetes, and that caused the other symptoms. This rescuer bought an initial supply of insulin, but did not have the resources to keep him and continue his treatment.
Since in our care, Molokai has gained weight and is now a happy husky. He is great with large dogs and kids of all ages. No small dogs or cats! He is looking for a special family who will commit to diabetes treatment, which consists of twice-daily injections for life.
