　　Even though we are pretty sure she would be good with kids, Missy is an older, small dog, so we have to say no to very young children, but more to protect her from harm than the other way around

　　Missy was going to be taken to the Pound to be put to sleep because her owner thought she was too old. Missy was neglected for many years, her fur was matted and she had lots of dead hair, so much that she looked way bigger than she actually is. Her nails were long and curled under. When we held and cooed at her for the first time she whimpered and sighed, overcome by emotion. She will still talk to you when spoken to in a soft voice.

　　Missy is a quiet dog that enjoys basking in the morning sunlight, but she is not an outside dog. At night she well sleep on the sofa or on the bed by your feet. She likes short walks and car rides, but most of all, she thrives in your arms, feeling loved and knowing that she is cared for, a thing she didnt have for the longest time.

　　Missy gets along with other dogs but she will not engage in play because of her age. Maybe another senior dog to keep her company while you are away would be a good thing for her. Missys eyesight is not what it used to be, her eyes are starting to slightly cloud over, but she still has many years of looking straight into YOUR eyes and showing you how much she loves you and how grateful she is for giving her a second chance.
